Flo May Raymond-Copps, 85, of Henderson, died Sept. 1 at a local hospital.
Born May 19, 1924, in Chicago, she moved to Henderson in 1977.
She opened Coral Cove Music Studios in Henderson shortly after moving to Henderson, teaching instrumental and vocal music. She wrote feature stories for the Henderson Home News under former editor Morry Zenoff.
She spent her entire life in music. She performed on radio and TV and for soldiers in World War II. An artist, she also did sketches of the soldiers and sent them to her families.
She is survived by her son, John F. Copps of Apple Valley, Calif., and cousins throughout the country.
Memorial services are pending.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial handled the arrangements.
