Senior Obama aide to discuss health care in LV address

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama may be mum these days on the health care debate, but his top adviser, Valerie Jarrett, will be in Las Vegas on Thursday to discuss health care reform at AARP's annual member event the Vegas@50+ National Event & Expo.

The senior White House adviser will discuss the current state of play of health care in a keynote address at a panel discussion "Health Care Reform-If Not Now, Then When?” The chairman of the board of directors of the American Medical Association will be among those on the panel.

The annual AARP lifestyle expo runs from Oct. 22-24 and is expected to draw 25,000 members to the Sands Expo Center.
