Wynn Resorts is offering a new deal aimed at getting California guests in the door without them having to fly commercial or drive.
The company announced this week that the Wynn Las Vegas and Encore will begin offering a vacation package that pairs private jet service with the resorts' accommodations.
The package begins at $780 per person for double occupancy and $1,193 for single occupancy. The price includes roundtrip airfare on a 50-person jet from Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport or John Wayne Airport in Orange County and a three-night stay in a standard room at Encore or Wynn.
On board the private jet, a Wynn concierge will have room keys on hand so guests can skip the hotel check-in process, as well as champagne before take off. Upon arrival at McCarran International Airport’s executive terminal, limousine service will take guests to the resort.
Upgrades are available with rates depending on availability and suite choice. The package runs this weekend through Nov. 29.

Wow! like everyone has 1,200 dollars to spend on jet service! how' bout making the junket free, and minimal room charges, so we can blow all that $ in the casino! then my friends we are in business!
Commenter #1, you understand that the $1200 includes the room and the jet and limo service for two, right? On a semi-private jet.
Not a bad deal, overall. I am not rich and I would take Steve up on this one, if I only lived in California. :(
Like those broke Californian's can afford that....besides they are not but a couple of hours away by vehicle.
Agreed with goingbust. It's actually quite a good deal. If I were still living in OC and had a little extra $ to get away for a 3 day weekend, I wouldn't mind being whisked away from John Wayne via private jet to my super luxe Encore suite. ;-)
Btw, I actually did stay at Encore for 4 nights back in March when I was buying my condo in Green Valley. The suites are FABULOUS, so I'm sure whoever takes this $1200 package will get their money's worth.
Yes goingbust, what I'm saying is let me keep that $1200 fly me for free, and charge me a minimal room food and beverage, so I can spend the $ in the casino!
Fabulous cost! beast the drive and waiting on the "cattle car" plane with the OC / Burbank folks..pretty cheap deal actually when all said and done...
For environprotector..ask Steve, I'm sure he would spend $79 to put you on Southwest if you woudl for sure spend $1200 at his casino's..if you are that much of a player, you should already be getting the free stuff
How is 50 people a private jet?
Junkets just like this built Las Vegas, It is nice to see someone getting back to our roots of when service was king. Back to basics - good
It seems like a fun and affordable deal. Part of the Old Vegas head trip was feeling like a wheel for a while, this seems to recapture a bit of that. Not quite stepping off a Connie or private DC-3 with Gable and Miss Harlow, but fun none the less. Mr. Wynn always keeps trying; our little town owes him a lot for that.
Sillyme --- you sound like another uneducated person that thinks Vegas is the center of the universe. people like you are an embarrassment to us here in Vegas. IT IS THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA THAT IS BROKE, NOT THE PEOPLE! There are a lot of people in So Cal that have the extra money for stuff like this (and surely a lot more than here).
Many people in so cal do not come here since they hate the drive and don't like flying "cattle call" airlines.
Get a clue and keep your uneducated comments to yourself.
tvegas-
Sorry about that. I had a brain fart. Still, a 50 seat jet IMHO is much preferable to the typical Southwest "cattle call" flight or dingy US Airways flight.

Agreed. I think this strikes the right balance between "Old Vegas" service and "New Vegas" luxury. I'm not one to worship the bad old days of cheap & lousy buffets, substandard rooms, and cheesy theme park gimmicks, but it's definitely true that good service and the overall "customer is always right" attitude got lost amidst the megaresort construction, "celebrity chef" food factories, and pulling new lame gimmicks to lure the Ed Hardy/Paris Hilton wannabe crowd to Vegas.
If he'd fly to Minnesota...I'd be on that plane tonight!!!!
So you are on a commercial plane that isnt taking off until the plane is full. Private jet means "private" people. It means the captain listens to you say "lets leave now", and he leaves right now! This plane will have the flight attendant telling you all the rules. Private planes, you do what you want and if you dont want to wear a seatbelt, you dont!
As for it being a deal, you can fly SWA for $39 each way and get a cheap room at the Wynn for $99 bucks. So hows that compared to $1200?? thats nuts. If you have to spend all your money to get there, then whats left over??
I got a better offer in my email the other day from Station Casinos to stay at Red Rock Resort. $200 room rate for 2 nights and they are giving me a true $200 credit i can use for foo, beverage or spa. I asked what the catch was. They said no catch. You get a flat $200 to spend as you wish. Now that was a deal, so i booked it. now the money in my pocket i can really spend on gambling.
Hey retiredyoungster,
I actually hold a red Wynn players card and guess what? I gambled three thousand or more on the five dollar slots there, and all I got was a lousy free meal.. actually the meal tasted pretty good, but puleeese where was the airline ticket and cheap room? only the shadow knows...
As an ex-Wynn employee I would have to say this is a sham. Just another gimmick they thought of to get you out on the casino floor (actually a brilliant idea on the business side)
Think about it: its more of a hassle being shuffled around and put on a "private" jet with 40 or so other people, (depending on how many other suckers are on the plane), for a 20-30 minute flight, then being stuck here without a vehicle ?, (now they move in for the kill), And you can forget about any sort of comps, you have to spend about $500 for a free buffet. Some deal!
I think the word is out that Vegas is no longer the destination for the super rich, they would be better off catering to the normal guy, These properties are losing money fast, Wynn Macau is carrying the company. The Chinese government just put restrictions on the travel to and from that province, so business is dropping fast !! I think they are "phishing" for high rollers now instead of focusing on the domestic market.
One more thing, "limousine service", being an ex employee, I know that they are not going to spring for you own private limousine for 50 or more people, your going to be cattled into one of the "Wynn" shuttle buses, which is nothing more than a CAT bus with the red Wynn logo painted on it (You can see them parked behind the employee parking garage on Sands blvd, east of Koval) these are the same ones that were used for the Monorail shuttle buses, which they quit running because they were such tightwads !! these bastards are cheap I tell ya !!, they only own about 12 limousines and these are ONLY for dignitaries, or heads of state or someone like that. You have to have millions before they even think about picking you up in one of their own. I am just telling you how the management thinks, there philosophy is almost humorous. Steve Wynn is brilliant, but he doesn't realize that his own management people are running off good customers and good employees, this is why they are losing money here. They have a lot of customers, but they are throwing money away in more areas and thus the company is backsliding.

Who needs the train to nowhere?
Good marketing sense for Wynn. Think of it as the "Bob Stupak's Vegas World" packages of the 1980's, but on a higher scale. Cadaver, I think the Minnesota comment was simply from a Minnesota resident wishing the service was also available to his state. I bet if this works, They will expand to other states. I'm a low roller who likes to travel about town to shop and dine while in LV, so I'll stick to my Pontiac and the Imperial Palace. It seems that Steve Wynn is the only casino operator left who is willing to try something new to attract business. Way to go Steve. If I ever get the extra $, I'll stay at your place.
1200 for 1
780 X 2 -
what a joke -wheres the food - lobster? How many people on the plane?? Would rather have a smaller plane with just my party on it - like the nascar drivers use - not 50 people - might as well just use an airline for 49 dollars each way from cal and use the money in the casinos - you can get good deals even at wynn for rooms - do you get free food once at wynn - it didnt say that - how about chocolate on your pillow???
How many stay in the room anyway?? I am going to vegas end of the month - great deals on freemont street - 20 bucks a night - ok the rooms might be old - but if you are going to vegas to gamble - you only stay in room for shower and sleep a few hours - then you get some free food coupons and even free slot play - you can parlay that free slot play usually into more money if you play the right machines - OH wait a minute - I had to get a tic tack - my dog hears the tic tacks a mile away and wants one.. sorry for the delay - anyway plus I got free rooms at sahara and free tickets to rick thomas - free buffet and free slot play - HEY thats a deal!!!
Wow, I wish I could get a deal like that from NY. Limo service in Vegas is so cheap. In August it was 114 round trip from McCarran to The Palazzo. It cost me almost 150 to JFK one way. I haven't stayed at Wynn or Encore yet but would love to see those fabulous suites, of course after I stay at Aria and the Mandarin!
in the picture of the 2 hotels - doesnt it look like they are on 2 sides of the street? Am I correct that they are next to each other?? Just double checking??
They are on the same side of the street boomer, its just an illusion like the place itself !! this street dead ends into Steve's front door.
boomeranddalejr, that is a shot from the west near the Fashion Show Mall. Don't be fooled by the street in the foreground, it stops at Las Vegas Boulevard, so yes of course the Wynn Resort and Encore are side by side.
Fencer: Skoll Vikings, let's go
All others: The DORKS who take Steve up on this will get rooms overlooking
LV Blvd....HA HA HA!!!!! WHAT A VIEW!!!! Dirt Wasteland, junk, dead
job site. Don't tell the DORKS about this, they are coming in right now
on his fancy rented jet. lol!!!!!
felix28...The State of California is broke along with the 2.2 million people who are unemployed. Californian's still go to Vegas, I see more plates from California than any other state. Me? an embarassment to Vegas??? LMAO...
The whole thing sounds like a pretty good deal. It really is about time somebody got back to the basics that made this town. Bring in some real paying customers instead of the paid to show up rap stars, glitter queens & tattoo artists from hollywood
This is a great package! Let the 'haters' hate... Under 1k for 3 nights at the most luxurious resort on the strip! Not bad... Not to mention the semi-private air charter! For those who was to arrive in style and feel 'special' without spending a huge amount. Another 5 stars for Wynn/ Encore for this one!!
maybe i am missing something in this deal? It says standard room?? Not tower or suite right?? OK you can look out at the former site of the stardust and see nothing and cars going by?? The best place that has a view - is Red Rock up in the hills - think its a little pricy - I know the jet is probably the expensive part - but why not get free food also - thats not listed?? I will continue going to my smaller places - who is going to see you anyway in that Private jet anyway??
Is Wynn one of those hotels with 6/5 BJ and BJ autoshufflers? Is it true there are no comped drinks there at bar poker? What kind of action does one need to spread there to get noticed? 10k min? What if a pimp booked the entire flight with 49 of his finest hoes and rolled into town? What they should really do is refund the entire cost if you play at a reasonable rate -- of course that would probably take 100k in action, right?
