Eugene “Gene” Richard Sikora, 76, of Boulder City died Oct. 5 in Boulder City.
He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Detroit and was a 30-year resident of Boulder City. He had previously lived in Warren, Mich.
He was a retired inspector for Chrysler Corp.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW and St. Andrew’s Catholic Community. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Kay Salmon and husband John of Michigan and Suzanne Grinsted and husband Steve of Boulder City; granddaughter, Andrea Salmon of Virginia; sister, Virginia Mielewski of Nevada; and brother, Clarence Sikora of Michigan.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Clare V. Sikora; daughter Virginia Sikora; and brother Arthur Sobcznski.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 at Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, in Boulder City. A vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Community in Boulder City.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. Burial at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City will follow the service.
Boulder City Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
