prep football:
Gorman athlete’s ex-girlfriend was granted restraining order
Friday, March 27, 2009 | 8:17 p.m.
University of Oklahoma football recruit Justin Chaisson's ex-girlfriend was granted a restraining order against Chaisson the day before he was arrested on several felonies resulting from an altercation with the 17-year-old girl, a Clark County District Court spokesman said.
Chaisson, a Bishop Gorman High School senior, had the restraining order placed against him on March 16, court spokesman Michael Sommemeyer said. Chaisson was arrested the next day and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a gross felony, four felony and three misdemeanor charges stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend, Sommemeyer said.
He was released the same day of his arrest on $30,000 bail. Chaisson had a court hearing Thursday morning but did not appear in person.
He is next scheduled to appear in court on April 16 for a hearing on the misdemeanor charge of violating the restraining order. He is set to appear in court on the other charges at 1:30 p.m. on April 29 before Judge Melissa Saragosa in Las Vegas Justice Court Department 4.
Officials at Oklahoma have yet to comment on Chaisson's arrest.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Chaisson had 23 sacks as a junior in 2007 to set a state record and help Gorman win the state championship. Recruiting Web site Rivals.com lists him in its top 100 recruits for 2009.

No one has anything to say about this?
C'mon Las Vegas, certainly many of you know the REAL story.
Time to share.
I think you're overestimating the amount of people that actually even visit this site, let alone one of them might actually have inside info and bother to share it.
If you saw the other Chaisson thread, it's not even worth getting into a conversation about, there's a few anti-Gorman trolls that are so ignorant it makes it not even worth the time discussing.
I like many others who are familiar with this terrible news find ourselves dumbfounded to say the least. We are from the so called hood and in our places of commune we are speaking on this event with trepidation and dismay. Most of the parents here chose not to prejudge the incidents but rather use it as a lesson to our child athletes to warn them of such unlawful inhumane acts of violence. But Justin just like any other American deserves his day before the judge and if justice is served so be it .God has a way of avenging the innocent and we choose to leave it there.
