Letter to the editor:

Vets wouldn’t want money spent on grass

My husband is buried in the Boulder City Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where I will join him one day.

The grassy cemetery is beautiful. But it is difficult for me to believe that the men and women buried there, who made sacrifices, even to death, for their country would insist that our most vital, scarce, natural resource be used to keep their graves green. This resource should be reserved for their living descendants.
