Substitute teacher charged with child porn possession

A substitute teacher at a Clark County middle school was arrested Friday for possession of child pornography, Henderson Police said today.
Aaron Ringewold, 26, is charged with 17 counts of possession of child pornography after an investigation by Henderson detectives.
Ringewold was working as a long-term substitute teacher at Mike O’Callaghan Middle School, 1450 Radwick Drive. Henderson police said there is no evidence that the children in the seized pornography were past or present students of Ringewold.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 267-4750.

I wonder how many of my tax dollars went to this guy salary?
The Clark County School district needs to institute some new policies. One would be to hire full time teachers! (I guess there's no chance of that because there's no money to pay a full time teacher.) Two, is start requiring mandatory background checks and drug tests for all employees. There's no excuse for someone like this to be working at a school close to our children!
These teachers in this state are awful and all they want is more money. What dirt bags these teachers are seems every month one gets caught messing with the kids. Every year they want more and more money.
This is happening all over the country. Go to www.schoolteachernews.com and click on the Scandal page. This year they have documented over 275 of these types of incidents. In 2008 they found 478 of these kinds of cases.
I went to school with this guy. He was a bit weird. He did like a 24 hour William Shatner impression. He was consumed by Star Trek. He was in theater...he graduated in 02, 2 yrs before me. He was unusually smart tho... I dunno. I am so shocked by this. But then again not really.

No, it's guilty til proven innocent. If it was innocence 1st, he would be out on the streets waiting for his court date instead of behind bars!! If you watch the news, you would know that Fox 5 broke that he admitted to his interest in child porn for the last 14 years (this was today @ 5:30)!!

I think teachers should also go through psychological (sic) testing before they are allowed access to our children as well as drug testing and back ground checks.
I have a substitute's license in New York State - we do extensive background checks here, your state should do the same.
And, your school district should break down, spend some money, and hire more full time teachers!
What in the world is drug testing going to prove? I'm not against it nor am I against background checks but what are either of these going to show as far as being a pedophile is concerned if the background and drug test come back 'clean'. It just means the pedophile doesn't use drugs and has never before been caught doing his dirty deeds. So basically one can pass a drug and background check and STILL be a pedophile so what then??
