Randy Ecklund serves as executive director for the Summerlin Community Association and Summerlin Council management operations. He and his team of management personnel oversee day-to-day governance of administration, property management and maintenance, accounting and finance, residential design review and residential deed restriction enforcement for the Summerlin master associations and The Ridge Community Association. They also handle operations, maintenance and programming of all Summerlin Council amenities, including regional parks, community centers and recreational facilities. With more than 23 years of experience in community management, Ecklund joined Summerlin in 1992 after serving as association administrator for American Continental Corp., a master-plan developer with communities in Arizona and Colorado. Prior to that he worked within the residential warranty and customer service department for Medema Homes, a Colorado-based home builder. Ecklund also serves as executive director of the Summerlin Children’s Forum, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships, recognizes outstanding achievement within Summerlin schools and underwrites enhancement programs for both schools and nonprofit organizations within the Summerlin community. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Illinois University. He earned his Professional Community Association Manager designation from the Community Associations Institute in 1999 and Certified Manager of Community Association designation from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers in 1996.
