Daniel J. Sheridan is executive vice president of General Growth Properties Inc. In this capacity, Sheridan oversees the company’s retail properties in Las Vegas, including three of its flagship centers on the Las Vegas Strip: Fashion Show, The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Shoppes at The Palazzo, as well as Meadows Mall and The Boulevard Mall. In total, Sheridan is responsible for nearly 5 million square feet of existing retail space in Southern Nevada. Sheridan also oversees asset management at General Growth’s Hawaii operations, including the 2.2-million-square-foot Ala Moana Center in Honolulu. In his capacity as executive vice president, Sheridan is responsible for the overall financial performance of the Las Vegas and Hawaii retail properties, overseeing leasing, redevelopment, marketing and strategic direction. Sheridan first joined General Growth as an attorney in 1998 and served in various capacities in the General Growth legal department, including vice president and assistant general counsel, through 2002, at which time he was promoted to executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Prior to joining General Growth, Sheridan practiced law for 10 years as an attorney at Dickinson Wright in Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science. In 1989, he earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School.
