Man sought for threatening president arrested in Laughlin

A federal prosecutor says a man who allegedly told bank tellers in Utah -- while cleaning out his savings account -- that he was on a mission to kill President Barack Obama has been arrested in Southern Nevada.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Barbara Bearnson says Daniel James Murray, 36, was arrested Friday in Laughlin, by the U.S. Secret Service and Las Vegas metropolitan police.

Murray is originally from upstate New York, but has been traveling widely. He was charged Thursday with conveying threats while banking at Zions First National Bank in St. George, Utah, last month.

Bearnson, a federal prosecutor in Salt Lake City, where the felony charge was filed, told The Associated Press on Saturday that Murray is in federal custody in Nevada and will get a court date there probably on Monday.
