Candidates

Two residents filed Jan. 27 to run for City Council in the June municipal elections. It was the first day of filing, which remains open until Feb. 5.

Former library director Duncan McCoy and Planning Commissioner John Schleppegrell have declared their candidacy.

Two City Council seats are open: one held by Mike Pacini, who has is not eligible to run again because of term limits, and one held by Andrea Anderson, who is completing her second four-year term.

Those seeking election can submit declaration of candidacy forms in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 401 California Ave. The City Clerk will accept the forms Jan. 27-29 and Feb. 2-5, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The filing fee is $75. Candidates must be a resident of Boulder City for at least two years before the election and hold no other elected office.
