Open house held at Adelson school
The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus will host an open house Feb. 8 for prospective families of kindergarten through 12th grade students.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the school, 9700 W. Hillpointe Road.
Attendees will be able to meet with Head of School Paul Schiffman and other faculty, as well as current students.
They will also be able to tour the campus and attend mini-classes and sports programs.

School to host wine tasting, auction
Solomon Schecter Day School will honor the memory of D'Vorre and Hal Ober on Feb. 21 at its annual event, The White Russian Wine Tasting and Auction Experience.
Hal Ober was a founding member of the school's board while D'Vorre Ober was a school volunteer.
The event, sponsored by Southern Wine and Spirits Inc., will begin at 7 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane.
Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Sidney Chaplin Scholarship Fund.
