It’s not surprising that the Republicans, still angry that John McCain was routed in the presidential election, fought tooth and nail to stop President Barack Obama’s stimulus plan, a plan to help America get back on its feet after eight years of disastrous policies.
The Republicans, however, voted to send billions upon billions to Iraq for a war started by lies and deception — Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction and had no ties to 9/11.
That’s exactly why the Republicans were routed in 2006 and 2008 and will keep losing major elections for a long time — because they are so out of touch with the American people.
Mr. Obama is going to be a great president.
