Gaming supply company names new CEO

Las Vegas-based gaming supply company Shuffle Master announced today the retirement of chief executive officer Mark Yoseloff and the appointment of Timothy Parrott as his successor.

Yoseloff will step down in March and does not plan to stand for re-election to the board of directors.

Parrott joins Shuffle Master as a 20-year veteran in the gaming industry. He served as president and CEO at Americas of Aristocrat Technologies, another gaming supply company, from 2006 to late last year. From 2001 to 2006, Parrott served as the chairman and CEO of On Stage Entertainment, a Las Vegas-based production company.

Before his time at On Stage Entertainment, Parrott served as chairman and CEO of Boomtown, Inc., owner of Boomtown Resort and Casino in Reno, from 1988 to 1998. He remained a consultant with the company until 2001 after its 1998 merger with Pinnacle Entertainment.

"Since I informed the Board of my intention to retire, we have spent 18 months searching for an individual with both strong leadership skills and a deep knowledge of the gaming industry to oversee the future growth and success of Shuffle Master. I believe that Tim Parrott is just such a person,” Yoseloff said in a news release.

Shuffle Master has gone through drastic changes in leadership over the past three months. President, chief operating officer and secretary Paul Meyer left the company at the expiration of his contract in November 2008. Later that month, Shuffle Master announced the separation of chairman of the board and CEO roles, removing Yoseloff as chairman and replacing him with Phillip Peckman, the current chairman.

Peckman remains the CEO of billboard company Peckman Outdoor Media and was president and COO of the Greenspun Corporation until November 2006.

Also in November, the company appointed David Lopez, Roger Snow and Jerry Smith as executive vice presidents and announced the consolidation of the Shuffle Master Americas division with its corporate group, which are headquartered in Las Vegas.
