Death investigation
A woman was found dead this morning in an apartment on West Bonanza Road.
Metro Police responded at 9:50 a.m. to the apartment in the 2200 block of West Bonanza to check the welfare of a female tenant. Officers made entry into the apartment and smelled a foul odor, then discovered the body of a woman inside.
Homicide detectives responded to the apartment to conduct an investigation.
The woman's name wasn't released pending notification of family members and an autopsy by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
Anyone with information about the death is being asked to call homicide detectives at 828-3521.
