Nicholas Kristof’s column in Saturday’s Las Vegas Sun should be run on the front page of every newspaper in the United States — it’s that important.
If you haven’t read it, dig out Saturday’s newspaper and read it, then pass it on to others. It points out the necessity of a single-payer system and how a former head of corporate communications for Cigna and Humana has seen the light.
Wendell Potter was attending a showing of “Sicko” and was taking notes so he could prepare a propaganda counterblast when, much to his amazement, he found himself agreeing with a great deal of the film.
Then his conscience started taking over to the point that he retired and this year is testifying before a Senate committee investigating the insurance industry. Please read this!
