A 22-year-old Chino Hills, Calif., woman died Saturday evening after being struck by a boat propeller in the Gasoline Alley area of Lake Mohave.
She was brought to the Princess Cove launch ramp, where medical responders were waiting. The woman was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m.
The National Park Service was notified of the incident at 5:51 p.m. Nevada game wardens and National Park Service rangers responded.
She was with family and friends aboard a pontoon boat. According to witnesses, she fell off over the bow of the boat when everyone onboard moved to the front, causing the bow to go under the water, the National Park Service said.
She disappeared under the boat between the pontoons as the boat traveled forward at about 6 to 8 mph. She was found in the water after the boat passed over her with severe injuries from the propeller, officials said.

No words for this...
Very sad. My condolences to the family and friends.
Over the weekend I was on my houseboat on Lake Mohave. The victims sister owns the boat next to mine. Saturday evening I saw the absolute shock and grief this family was going through. Everyone-please please be careful out there.
I have been a boat owner for years. Most people have no idea of the danger that can be involved with boating. People are in an unfimilar setting and have no idea how to react when things go in an unsuspected direction. It saddened me very deeply to read of this young woman's untimely death. I hope others can learn from it.
GOD BLESS this young woman. I pray for her and the family .
i arrived at the accident seconds after took off on my seadoo to find help found some kids about 1 mile before kathreens landing and made the phone call for help my chiledren seen it all from a pantoon boat .my prayers are with u family god bless all of u ..... as i writ this i cry for u ....then i will explain to my children why we respect boating and its surroundings....god bless
I had Riverguy's girls on our boat along with my daughters, it was very tragic for them to see, and My husband and I wish we could of done more to help. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who endured this tragic loss. To her family and friends we are all praying for you.
We just celebrated delilahs 22nd birthday on monday the 24th.I talked to her last on wednesday when she was packing for the river. Was telling me how this last b day was the best one she has ever had. I decorated my house bought balloons, we played pin the tale on the donkey as a joke.she even wore a silly hat we got her. With some of her closest friends we went out and had the best night ending it with all of us singing happy birthday to her at the club we were at. We found out yesterday one of the girls happened to record it on her camera. She was dancing and smiling with the lights of the candels only lighting up her face She was such a great person. No matter how hard life got at sometimes, I never heard her complain. She always had the biggest smile on her pretty face. She had such a pos. Impact on anyones life she was in. Although I don't want to belive this, her closest freinds and I will live each day for her. She knows we all love her and will miss her. It won't be the same with out you. Ur my best friend and always will be.
Will the investigation reveal drug and/or alcohol abuse on the houseboat?
You just HAVE to be big old donkey, don't you??
So many accidents result in death while boating. Many times the driver has been at fault. I beleive it is time for the state agencies to require that boat ownwers/operators must take a boating safety class. These types of tragic endings are happening way to often. People think that operating a boat requires no training they need to think again. Boat operators are responsible for all the passengers on board.
We are friends of the family which have to endure this tragedy and my sons were on the boat when it occured. It was a tragic accident which we all wish had never happened. The driver of the boat is one of the most sincere persons I know. He is trained in boating and not only was he not under the influence of drugs or alcohol he never even allows these items on his boat. He is very aware of everyones safety both on and off his boat and would have given his own life for any of the indiviuals traveling with him that day. I would let my children boat with him still. He will have to live with this forever but I want everyone to know there was no drugs, alcohol or error on his part. Him as well as everyone else on that boat needs support and prayers not accusations. It was a tragic ACCIDENT beyond his control. We will miss her forever and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I agree that evryone on the river should have some sort of safety training. The article sounds like the boat was overloaded. Does anyone know the size of the boat in question? Did anyone on the vessel see her fall in the water? I'm sure these questions will be answered after an investigation is completed.
I hope that more people become aware of the dangers of boating. Especially if this incident may have been avoided.
My heart and soul goes out to this family. I know them personally and I can tell you that the driver of the boat is a very responsible person, who is respected in the community and has done an excellent job raising his children. This was a freak accident with uncontrollable circumstances. He has been boating for years and takes it seriously. I have been on his boat many times and if you knew me, you would know how afraid I am of the water. He does not race his vessel and is very cautious. I believe he follows all rules of the lake in boating. Please before anyone post an negative comment, please know that they are having a very hard time dealing with this tragedy. He love and assisted in raising this young lady. Please lets say prayers for this family and not accuse, because unforseen accidents can happen to anybody.
As I read some of the comments saying not to make any negative accusations it goes to my point about the dangers of boating. I hope that people learn from these types of incidents. In no way is there anything negative to be said. If someone can learn from this tragedy that is a life that may be saved.
I have been operating a boat for 20 plus years with that said it is the responsibility of the driver to make sure the passengers are not a distraction while operating a boat. If someone goes overboard that is in front of you the driver should be aware of that.
My deepest prayers to the family and friends of this horrible tragedy! My niece knew Delilah since they were young teens. Thinking back, all I remember is this spunky little cute girl always smiling and cheerful! I feel so bad for the family and everyone on that boat. Everyone please be careful out there!!
May her young vibrant spirit rest in peace. Those who have been touched by her will forever hold her in our hearts. I am thankful for our time together. One love my friend. Wishing mourners strength during such a shocking time. Just hold on to her spirit...
Delilah is my step sister...My mother married her father....I didn't know much about her but ..what I did know about her is that she was a very beautiful girl...Her personality was explosive and alive...She was the sweetest girl and very thoughtful of others...I am shocked of what has happened to her and I am in disbelief of all this...I am praying for her family and I hope you all will never forget her and the way she was..I know she will be in my heart and thoughts for all the years to come...I love you all and miss you all...Phyllis's Daughter Joyce

I'LL LOOK OF A STAR IN YOUR PLACE.
AND IF THERE WAS A CHANCE WE COULD
REACH THE STARS ABOVE,
I WOULD CLAIM EACH ONE OF THEM AS YOU MY LOVE.
FOR THE TWINKLE I SEE WITHIN YOUR EYES,
I PROMISE YOU MY LOVE THERE WILL BE NO MORE GOOD-BYES.
FOR WHEN YOU LOOK UP AT THE STARS ABOVE,
JUST REMEMBER , I'M THINKING OF YOU MY LOVE.

WOW I can't stop thinking of the young ladie. My family and I were at the boat dock were the girl was brought to. My two boys 16, 11, saw the lifeless body and were struck and overcome with emotion. I would like to extend my condolences to the family. I can only hope and pray that those who witnessed the accident understand that these types of losses are difficult to understand. My family will continue to pray for your family.
DELILAH....... I LOVE YOU AND I WILL MISS YOU...
YOU WERE SPECIAL IN EVERYWAY. AND YOU WERE MY FAMILY..
GOODBYE ANGEL~
I LOVE YOU
Please pray for Delilah and her family and friends that were there with Delilah on that sad and tragic day of the ACCIDENT. All of you need to stay together, you need each other, and more then ever the person driving the boat, whom is loved and loved Delilah needs you all. This person is truly suffering enough. So don't let ill minded people with a sick sense, making false and hurtful accusations, for their sick way of gain in this very sad time and situation.
Keep Delilah and the family and friends that were with her in your prayers. Faith heals and keeps away evil.
-a very close friend of Delilah's cousin
