Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 | 10:01 a.m.

Single-car crash

A California man is in critical condition after a single-car accident in Summerlin Friday night.

Metro Police said 37-year-old Joshua Grabowski of Orange, Calif., was driving faster than the 25 mph speed limit while going north on Spring Gate Lane about 8:20 p.m.

The driver lost control of his 1994 Saturn and went off the east side of the road south of Maple Mist Drive, police said.

The car hit three block walls before coming to a rest on its roof.

Police said speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

Grabowski was taken to University Medical Center.

  3. California.

  4. That idiot could of killed somebody. 10 yrs.

  5. I am no saint by any means...But I have to say that the four comments referring to this unfortunate accident seem very self righteous! Does it mean that these four people have "NEVER" drank & drove a car?Are we so shallow not to recall this man "Joshua Grabowski Is in fact ,Some parents,Son...Some child's Father...Granted he may have made a mistake but is it worth the consequence of being on a ventilator, not knowing if his kids will ever see their Father again? Will his Father & Mother have to bury their own son ,before they pass? I feel very saddened and lost...Joshua "Yoshi", is a very good friend of mine.An excellent example of what a real-friend is....I am disappointed, yet I am praying Joshua will pull through...For the sake of his kids ,his family and friends...Joshua we all here back home in orange,ca....Are w/you and praying for your recovery Much Love & Respect..Your Denephew!!!
