Other victims of alleged police impersonators sought

Sun coverage

Metro Police robbery investigators are searching for possible additional victims of two men arrested Tuesday for impersonating police officers.

The men, whose identities haven’t been released, are charged with impersonating police officers in connection with incidents earlier this month.

The men would stop vehicles while driving a white pickup truck with red and blue flashing lights in the windshield, police said.

They wore black clothing, including black T-shirts with the word “Police” on the front in white letters, authorities said.

Police believe there may be additional victims they are not yet aware of and are asking anyone who was stopped in a similar manner to contact authorities.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Metro’s robbery section at 828-3591. Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
