Now that the Democrats have rubber-stamped The Man Formerly Known as Governor’s authority to approve stimulus money, after protesting that he had none, and after Controller Kim Wallin, undermined by an AG opinion, has similarly capitulated, I don’t wonder whether they will shut up about this inane internecine fight. I wonder if Jim Gibbons will. Sensing that for the first time since he gave one-minute speeches in Congress praising Ronald Reagan that he has a surefire winner — pound lawmakers for slowing up stimulus money — Gibbons has been vomiting news releases. We get the message: You are the boss, and the legislators lost. Now can you shut up and attend to the business of being a lame duck?
