I know Nevadans feel left out in all the town-hall mania sweeping the country. None of our elected officials has the intestinal fortitude of an Arlen Specter or Barney Frank, willing to take on the obstreperous folks (don’t call them a mob!) jamming these events. But fear not. Even though talk show host Heidi Harris (last week) and senatorial hopeful Danny Tarkanian (tonight) are having delegation-free events, we have a reasonable facsimile thereof today in Las Vegas. It’s not on health care, but when the elected officials on the Southern Nevada Water Authority board take their seats to vote on that rural water project, the room will be jammed with opponents. And it could be just as raucous as any health care meeting.
