On Sunday, in his letter to the editor in the Las Vegas Sun, headlined “Obama’s brand of change disappointing,” Mark Isaacs gives us a thoughtful and impressive list of reasons why he no longer supports President Barack Obama, and he does it without even mentioning the following point:
Despite his oath to support and defend the Constitution, Obama has appointed a series of “czars” — several dozen at last count — who go through no congressional review process, and report only to the president.
This is a clear violation of the checks and balances built into the Constitution, in that it gives the executive branch a free hand to operate with no review by either the legislative or the judicial branch.
