Merrick "Rick" K. Sowles Jr., 81, of Boulder City died Aug. 16.
A resident since 1991, He was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Marion, N.D. He was a retired golf course maintenance workers. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janet T. Sowles, of Henderson; two stepsons and one stepdaughter; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:20 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Palm Mortuary handled the arrangements.
