A man wanted in Los Angeles for allegedly beating his 6-year-old stepson to death was arrested this morning in North Las Vegas.

A U.S. Marshals task force arrested Marcus Fisher, 36, in the area of West Carey Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Authorities said he was wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with the fatal beating of Dae’von Bailey, 6, on July 23.

Investigators learned that Fisher might have fled to the Las Vegas area after the alleged murder was committed. Fisher was arrested in North Las Vegas without incident.

He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center pending his extradition to California.
