The USA is a country of second chances — and third, fourth and more. Not just for people everyone likes, but for those whom we may not.
Michael Vick was a three-time All Pro quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons and signed last week with the Philadelphia Eagles. Coach Andy Reid welcomed the ex-con who did the heinous crime and paid the justice system’s time (18 months in federal prison without incident).
Let Mr. Vick be judged now by his skills and abilities on the football field, not for his mistakes and errors. This is how it should be for any American with his whole life still ahead of him.
