Tickets on sale for Chautauqua

Tickets are now on sale for the 2009 Boulder City Chautauqua Sept. 19 at the Boulder Theatre, 1225 Arizona St.

Performances this year will include David Fenimore portraying Western writer Zane Grey, Tyler Stewart as sharp shooter Annie Oakley and Anita Watson as Virginia City pioneer Mary McNair Mathews. In addition, entertainment will be provided by singer/guitarist Steve Cottrell and Clare Tobler's Every Wednesday bluegrass group.

The event is a fundraiser for the Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum.

Tickets are $15 for each of the two performances. Fenimore will perform at the 1:30 p.m. show, and Stewart and Watson at 6:30 p.m.

Youth center hosting yard, bake sale

The Boulder City Youth Center will hold a yard and bake sale from 7 a.m. until noon Aug. 15 at the center in ABC Park, 801 Adams Blvd.

Proceeds will be used for game equipment at the center.
