HOA manager’s license suspended over improper checks
Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 | 2:39 p.m.
The permit of a manager of local homeowner associations has been suspended after it was disclosed she improperly wrote checks from their accounts for more than $45,000 for the Las Vegas Eagle Baseball, a nonprofit corporation she directs.
The certificate of Irene Iwanylo was pulled by state Real Estate Administrator Gail Anderson on grounds she “poses a risk of financial harm to any common interest communities which might employ her.”
Iwanylo wrote the checks on the homeowner association accounts of Rock Springs, Sundance, Camden Park, Paradise Valley and others. The biggest loser was Paradise Valley at $29,000.
All of the complaints from the homeowners associations were received by the state in June. Each said they asked Iwanylo for an explanation but she failed to reply.
Las Vegas Eagle Baseball is a nonprofit corporation registered with the Secretary of State’s Office in which Iwanylo and her husband Todd are the only corporate officers and directors.
Iwanylo was issued her community manager certificate in April 2005.
Anderson has ordered Iwanylo to transfer all assets under her control to another community manager.
Iwanylo has the right to appeal the suspension.

it's about time someone clamps down on the HOA people.
they will fine you for anything and everything just to make money.
It's only a non-profit outside of the corp. Officers and Directors.
Privatizing Profits and socializing the expences for their own personal wealth.
Greed is how people get caught.
Why hasn't a warrant been issued for this thieving b?
Not all HOA's take advantage of people, there are bad apples like Irene who make it bad for all others. I feel bad for the kids on the baseball team, if there really is a team, which I doubt. But if there is they are the ones who are being punished along with her for her greed. Their team name is disgraced by her. Just glad she got caught before she did any more damage.
