North Las Vegas Police on Sunday arrested a man suspected of firing a shot that killed an 8-year-old girl in a dispute over drugs.
Kenneth Reid, 20, is the second man to be arrested in the death of Savanah Bullins, who died June 12 when a bullet went through the wall of her father's second floor apartment at 2112 Sun Ave.
Metro Police on Sunday contacted Reid at a home in the 4600 block of East Monroe Avenue while on a routine call. North Las Vegas Police detectives responded to the address and Reid was arrested, then booked into the North Las Vegas Detection Center on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
The other man charged in the girl's death, Marcus Dewayne Larry, 27, of North Las Vegas, was arrested June 24. Police today identified Reid as the alleged gunman.
Authorities said the girl's father apparently was the intended target of the shooting in a dispute over drugs.
Police seized a handgun during Reid's arrest, although it wasn't the gun used in the shooting of Bullins, police said.

vegasj,
You can't honestly think these a**holes PAID for their guns!
Q. What did the black kid get for Christmas?
A. MY gun!
What we need in society again is good old fashioned "lynchings" to any deranged drugged out criminal of any race or creed...who guns down innocent citizens...especially children!
HANG THEM UP THEN CUT THEM DOWN!
Those cowardly thugs deserve the death penalty and for the father of the dead kid he deserve no sympathic he put his kid in danger and she was killed because he wanted to do drugs.
Two more losers heading to prison for the rest of there worthless lives. GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE!
good bye...life over....really you kill a child we should have dropp them off in the desert and let snipers use them as pratice.....
Hey Joe, who guns down innocent citizens? People with guns!! Thanks right wings nut jobs!!
....and the list goes on
lol@vegasj who doesn't realize that if guns were outlawed only the criminals would have them!
Strangle, grind, and feed them to the other four-legged animals in the shelters.
I see a lot of racist rants on here. I guess whites dont commit any crimes like murder. Only black "animals" do such things. Why do you care or comment on the the lives of three blacks? You should be happy, two go to prison and one dead. "Get them before they grow" B.M.
If their Mommas weren't so stoned out I bet they would be real proud of their worthless sons. Sorry about the loss of innocence of the children in the neighborhood and life of the of an eight year child! Geeze that's the same age of my grandson.
Oh please cisea, save it for someone who believes you.
Hey LV@LIFE, let's grieve for the innocent child. Your homies can rot in hell.
Hey Mikegino, I don't greive for those I do not know. And these guys are probably more your "homies" than mine.
White guys commit lots of crimes, but I rarely hear about them doing drive by shootings in NLV.
LV2LIFE: We all should grieve for the innocent.
I wonder how much government largess these two poster specimens for government paid welfare have received over the course of their young, pathetic, wasted, worthless lives.

*****
And the cycle will continue when they go to prison and our tax dollars support them for the rest of their lives....
@jaesun: why would you even think replaying the incident (as a joke) would be funny?
@LV4LIFE: if you dont wanna grieve for my niece, how about you keep the comment to a simple condolence?
C'Mon people... She has family that has feelings!
@Everyone who cares... My family did not expect this to happen and my Brother was in fact a part of the altercation that caused this. We are dealing with him in our own separate ways. He needs a lot of deliverance. Pray! It is very hard for us, but we appreciate all the love and care you show.
