Las Vegas gets more relief from triple-digit temperatures today, according to the National Weather Service.
After reaching a high of only 91 degrees Friday, today's afternoon high will will climb to only 94 degrees, the weather service said.
That's nine degrees lower than the normal high of 103 for this date, forecasters said. The record high is 114, set in 1978.
This morning's low temperature was 72 degrees at 5:56 a.m. at McCarran International Airport. The normal low is 78, with the record low of 64 set in 1957.
Tonight's low temperature will also be below normal, with the thermometer readings falling to around 75 degrees, the weather service said.
But warmer weather makes a return on Sunday.
Sunday's afternoon high climbs to 102 degrees, forecasters say.
And the 100s continue early through the week, with highs of 102 degrees Monday, 105 Tuesday and 106 Wednesday, the weather service said.
A return of monsoon moisture is possible later in the week, they said.
