Kohl’s plans job fairs for 450 positions at new valley stores

Kohl's Department Stores will host a job fair next week to hire 450 workers to fill positions at three new valley locations, the company announced today.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based company, which is opening locations in Henderson, southwest Las Vegas and at Nellis Crossing, will offer health insurance, a 401k plan, employee stock ownership and merchandise discounts to new hires. Positions available include customer service, department service, cash register operation, early morning stocking, truck unloading, housekeeping and evening signage/pricing updates, the company said.

The job fairs are scheduled to begin Sunday and will run daily through Thursday. For the Henderson store, the job fair will be at the Hampton Inn, 3245 St. Rose Parkway; the Nellis Crossing store will hold its job fair at the Eastside Cannery, 5255 Boulder Highway; and the southwest Las Vegas store will conduct its hiring at the Hampton Inn, 4280 S. Grand Canyon Drive.

The times for the job fairs are as follows: Sunday and Monday, 10:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.; Tuesday, 12:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday, 12:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Potential applicants are asked to visit www.kohlscareers.com or to call 1-877-NEW-KOHLS to schedule an interview and to obtain more information.

Kohl’s operates 1,022 stores in 49 states.
