Regarding Yok Chen’s letter in Wednesday’s edition about the energy needed to produce hydrogen cells: Yes, other than in planet Jupiter’s ocean, production of hydrogen does require electrical energy. Sources can include wind and wave, solar thermal and solar voltaic, ocean thermal and geothermal, biomass, nuclear fusion and fission, solar satellites and who knows what else future generations will dream up. Our ocean is our infinite resource; we shouldn’t ignore it.
