flashpoint:

What if the Republicans had too many candidates

Here’s a proposition I hadn’t really considered: What if the Republicans, instead of having no real candidate against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, have too many? Much attention has been focused on Rep. Dean Heller as the marquee candidate amid a gaggle of dwarves. But what if many of these dwarves band together to run against Reid — hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to kill Harry we go? And what if each — banker John Chachas, ex-hoopster Chuck Kozak, Regent James Dean Leavitt, TV maven Gary Bernstein (he plans to buy full-page ads against Reid in major newspapers) and who knows who else — have the money to cause a problem in the primary? Wouldn’t that be something? Maybe Sue Lowden should get in now.
