Henderson Zappos exec to appear on Oprah Winfrey show

Tony Hsieh, Zappos.com chief executive, will be featured Thursday on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Zappos, a Henderson-based online retailer, had more than $800 million in sales in 2007 and could surpass $1 billion this year. The show will focus on young moguls and will also feature Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

In 1998, at the age of 24, Hsieh sold his previous company, the Internet advertising network LinkExchange, to Microsoft for $265M.

The show will air locally on KLAS-TV at 9 a.m. and KTUD-TV at 4 p.m.
