Robin Leach:Luxe Life

What’s your story? If you are a celebrity in Vegas, Robin Leach wants to know.

*LAX nightclub partner Adam Goldstein – DJ AM – is really back on recovery road after his escape from a fiery plane crash. He returns to the stage for the first time tonight after the burn center treatments when he opens for hip-hop mogul Jay-Z’s launch tour at the Hollywood Palladium. Adam will open for Jay-Z at a number of unspecified gigs on the multi-city tour.

*Following up on our story yesterday about Janet Jackson’s ‘mystery illness: East Coast gossips are reporting that she arrived in Washington, D.C., this morning for tonight’s concert there, even though she’s already canceled tomorrow’s Madison Square Garden appearance which has been rescheduled for Nov. 1. Since being hospitalized on Sept. 29 in Montreal after her Vegas gig she has canceled 10 consecutive shows. Insiders are now saying that if indeed her "chronic migraines and resulting facial and throat aches" aren’t improving, she should scrap the remainder of the tour and reschedule all the missed dates when she’s fully recovered instead of the string of last-minute no-shows. At the moment Janet has scheduled shows in Washington, D.C., New Jersey and Atlanta through the weekend – but they could be in jeopardy too if she doesn’t play the nation’s capital tonight.

*Latest box office statistics from the Strip show Bette Midler and Elton John are in the No. 1 and No. 2 best-seller slots. Cirque’s O show – see its 10th anniversary report above -- places No. 3 with Donny & Osmond at No. 4. They are followed by the Beatles LOVE show at No. 5 and Criss Angel -- still in previews -- is at No. 6. The four remaining shows in the Top Ten 10 are Jersey Boys, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia and Stomp Out Loud.

*The boutique Blush nightclub at the Wynn Las Veags celebrates its first anniversary on Saturday and already actress Mena Suvari and actor Neil Patrick Harris have said they’ll attend with Jenna Fischer and Olivia Wilde. More celebrity names are being added to the Dom Perignon champagne-fueled party!

*Now that the actors at Fright Dome are getting all psyched up for their Halloween haunted horrors shows at Circus Circus they’ve discovered that it takes five hours for them to get made up and into costume for their deathly deeds and scary shocks.
