Students at Liberty High school didn't have to venture past the school walls to get a taste of other cultures during the first week in October.
As part of their homecoming week, celebrated Oct. 1-4, students decorated the halls with flags and other representations of different areas of the globe in honor of the week's theme, Around the World.
In addition to the decorating, students had a week of dress-up days, activities and of course, football games and the dance.
Many students also participated in making floats for the homecoming football game's halftime parade.
Student Council Advisor Jennifer Wikler said dodgeball games were a big part of the week's activities. The students held a tournament during the homecoming assembly Oct. 2.
They also got to do karaoke and participate in a hot wing eating contest, at different times of the week during lunch, she said
For the homecoming dance, Wikler said students decorated the student activity center with replicas of the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal and the Statue of Liberty.
