Art thou ready to have thyself a wondrous time?
The 15th annual Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival returns to Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road, Oct. 10-12.
The festival, which attracted about 35,000 people last year, features costumed performers, reenactments, artisans selling crafts, authentic food and live music.
Armored knights, kings, queens and wenches will greet visitors of a makeshift 16th century village as they listen to medieval storytellers, musicians and singers.
Additionally, jousting tournaments, comedy and dance shows and medieval pageantry events will be held at various times throughout the weekend.
Items for sale during the event include handmade jewelry, toys, stained glass, carved stones and armor.
Aside from bringing the sights and sounds of the Renaissance to Las Vegas, the festival also brings the taste.
Turkey legs, steak-on-a-stake, potpies and fish and chips will all give an authentic taste of the time and can be washed down with ales and sweet mead.
Live music at the event will be performed by Killians Angels, Tempest, Uffington Horse and The Tossers.
The festival runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 . Admission is $10 per day or $25 for a three-day pass for adults and $5 per day or $10 for a three-day pass for seniors and students in grades kindergarten through 12th grades. Ages 5 and younger are free.
