A Las Vegas man was arrested early this morning in connection with felony DUI after a three-vehicle crash that critically injured the passenger in another car.
Investigators also are looking for the driver of the car that contained the injured passenger, who fled the scene after the crash.
Metro Police responded at 12:15 a.m. to the crash at Tropicana Avenue and Cameron Street, which is about a mile west of Interstate 15. Investigators said a 2006 Chrysler 300 was westbound on Tropicana and turned left to go south on Cameron, striking a 1993 Chevrolet Suburban that was eastbound on Tropicana.
After the impact, the Suburban struck a traffic signal pole on the southeast corner of the intersection. A 1995 Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Tropicana then struck the Chrysler in the intersection.
One passenger in the Suburban, 28-year-old Nicholas Lewis, of Las Vegas, was critically injured in the crash. The driver of the Suburban left the scene after the crash and hasn't been found. His identity and the name of two other passengers aren't known.
The driver of the Chrysler, Adem Suleman, 36, of Las Vegas, was arrested in connection with felony DUI and booked into jail. Two occupants of the Camaro, Arlin Torres, 28, and Jose Carrillo, 27, both of Las Vegas, weren't injured.
The collision remains under investigation by the Metro Police investigation section.
