Two parents have been charged with child endangerment after authorities said they left their children inside a vehicle while gambling at a casino.
Metro Police responded at 2 p.m. Saturday to the Tuscany Casino at 255 E. Flamingo Road after receiving a report that two children were left unattended inside a parked vehicle in the parking lot. Investigators said the children were left in the vehicle for about 30 minutes.
Police said the parents were inside the casino playing slot machines.
The children were taken into protective custody. Their parents, Brian Paynter, 35, and Shuang Chen, 36, each were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of child endangerment.
