Road construction to close lanes on Eastern at Warm Springs

Updated Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 | 12:05 p.m.

Construction crews will begin work on Warm Springs Road and Eastern Avenue this month.

Lane closures are expected during the project, which is planned to take three months.

Clark County Traffic Safety Coordinator Kevin Pratt said construction will begin near the northeast corner of the Warm Springs and Eastern Avenue intersection in front of the ball fields. It will then make its way around the corner and down Eastern Avenue.

Residents can expect only two lanes open in each direction while construction is taking place on Eastern Avenue.

Crews will be out digging trenches to lay pipes for a project for McCarran International Airport, Pratt said.

Pratt said related construction has already begun on nearby Pama Lane and that the work will continue up Pama Lane to Surrey Street, where it will eventually make its way to the airport.
