Bank robbery

Metro Police bank robbery suspect

Metro Police this morning released surveillance video footage showing a person, possibly a teenager, wanted in connection with the robbery of a bank earlier this month in the eastern Las Vegas Valley.

Investigators said the robber entered a bank Nov. 1 near Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. He approached a bank teller, brandished a firearm and demanded money, police said.

He then left the bank with a dark-colored backpack containing money.

Detectives from the Metro Police Robbery Section are asking for the public's help in identifying the bank robber. He is described as a black male between the ages of 16 and 20, about 5-foot-6 and 150 pounds. He wore a gray sweatshirt with a hood, a blue hat, blue jeans and purple gloves.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police at 702-828-3591, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
