FLASHPOINT:

Sun, Mar 30, 2008 (2 a.m.)
State Sen. Joe Heck, who has shown more leadership on The Great Hepatitis Scare of 2008 than any other Republican, continues to weigh in from Iraq. Heck has brought common sense to the table by advocating for annual inspections of surgery centers and for having a rational roundtable discussion of the issues raised by the crisis. And now he has written to the governor advocating on behalf of a fellow doctor who wants to be on the besieged Board of Medical Examiners. Heck is promoting the application of Dr. Ron Kline, a very articulate and committed pediatric oncologist who has shown an awareness of many health care issues and been outspoken on them for several years. I wonder if Gibbons will listen.
