‘Star-Spangled’ celebration in the Valley

Under the setting sun, the Las Vegas Philharmonic orchestra entertains thousands of spectators while performing a variety of patriotic songs during the 10th Anniversary Star Spangled Spectacular concert at Hills Park in Summerlin.

The lights on the Strip got a little competition Friday night from fireworks that lit up the Valley sky.
The Las Vegas Sun sent about 20 reporters, photographers and videographers to various holiday events and community celebrations Friday evening in the Las Vegas area.
