Letter to the editor:
Need seen, yet again, for a primary
Wed, Feb 27, 2008 (2:04 a.m.)
Las Vegas Democrats seem befuddled. First the Culinary workers think they will get Bill Clinton, so they vote for Hillary Clinton in opposition to their union, which had favored Barack Obama.
The infamous Nevada presidential caucuses on Jan. 19 left many of the schools a mess, which cost the Democratic Party a pretty penny.
Then the Clark County Democratic Convention totally failed, and it needs to be repeated. Want to bet the next county convention also will be a fiasco?
As a lifelong Democrat and as someone who is handicapped, I could not attend the caucuses, which are unfair, in my opinion.
I don’t want my neighbor or some stranger voting for me. I prefer the voting process in a primary. Scrap the caucus and bring back a good old-fashioned primary.
