Man’s death under investigation in North Las Vegas

Police are investigating the death of a 60-year-old man found with injuries Sunday afternoon in North Las Vegas.

Officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded at 12:09 p.m. to a 911 report of a man found dead at the Judith Villas Apartments, 711 E. Nelson. That location is just east of Interstate 15 near the highway’s intersection with East Carey Avenue.

A relative of the man went to the apartment to check on the man’s welfare and found him dead, police said.

Investigators said the man suffered “obvious injuries,” but the nature of his injuries is unclear. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
