Letter: Support for Bush surely isn’t based on facts

In Lee Gliddon Jr.'s Oct. 27 letter, he claims that President Bush is being blamed too much for problems in this nation and the world. This is the same author who in previous letters praised former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and wrote that Bush "fulfills his office with honor and strength."

This reminds me of the statement by U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan that " you are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts."

Let's count the many ways Bush and his administration richly deserve blame:

Is it too much to expect at least a modicum of competence from the Bush administration? If the presidency were a regular job, Bush and members of his administration would have been fired a long, long time ago.

For the sake of this nation and the world, let's pray that during the next 14 months there will not be more blame attributable to Bush and his highly incompetent administration.
