Letter: FEMA’s plan for trailers full of holes

I recently read that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has decided to store 25,000 refurbished Katrina trailers in Lottie, La. Lottie is between New Orleans and Lake Charles.

FEMA's reason for storing the trailers there is so they can be "quickly dispatched in case of a storm." That's all good, but does FEMA have a map? Lottie is less that 70 miles from the Gulf Coast, well within the devastation area caused by Katrina.

Am I missing something or is there a good chance that another major hurricane in the area would probably destroy the trailers as well as the area around them? Isn't that a bit like storing gasoline near the campfire so it will be handy just in case the fire dies down?

Where do we get these government officials?
