Letter: Drive a sedan and really support our troops

I'm so sick of all the hypocrites out there who have those stickers on their gas-guzzling vehicles stating: "Support our troops." We are fighting in Iraq for the oil, not to play in the sand. Would you want to trade places with the military service personnel who have lost a part of their body?

It's time in this country for all citizens to back off from the stupid ideas that they must have a bigger house, vehicle, dog or whatever to impress everyone they come in contact with. The only people they are impressing are the credit card companies, loan companies and gleeful bankers in particular.

If my wife and I can ride around in a roomy four-door sedan that gives us good gas mileage, they can do the same in the same type of vehicles and really support our troops. If they can't get into a standard vehicle, maybe they need to lose some of that body armor.

The president and vice president want more and more gas-guzzlers. This fuels their personal wealth and the wealth of their masters, the oil companies.
