You have to give the power company credit for one thing: spin. After weeks of getting pounded by the most powerful Democrat in the country for being coal-burning global warmers, Sierra Pacific Resources announced Monday that it is forming the "Nevada Geothermal Energy Technical Advisory Panel to provide advice and insight to senior management regarding geothermal resource issues." My goodness, they are so, so green, after all. A technical advisory panel? That sounds like an interim subcommittee. Those are so important, too. The company's renewable energy executive (must be a lonely job) gushed about what a "critical step" this is. Indeed. With this amount of spin, Sierra Pacific may have found a new way to create wind power.
