Letter: Mr. President, put up that wall
Saturday, June 23, 2007 | 7:13 a.m.
Democrats and some Republicans in Washington say let's get this immigration bill passed now and legalize all the 12 million-plus illegals. They say that a fence will be built in the future to secure the borders. That's bull!
Well, legislation was passed last year and money was put aside for building a fence along the open borders of the southern United States. Only 13 miles of fence has been constructed so far.
The far left of the Democratic Party says the fence will not work, that it will not keep illegals out and they will find a way to dig under or get over this fence.
My question to the far left of the Democratic Party is: Why do we have fences around prisons in the United States then?
