So the Legislature passes a transportation plan that steals money from Clark County governments and it's a northern government that's thinking of suing? The Reno Gazette-Journal reported this week that the Reno City Council is researching a constitutional challenge to the state's authority to reach into its purse to take property tax money destined for other uses. Unimaginable to believe the council folks would follow through, but isn't it interesting that local governments here haven't been considering the same avenue? Or maybe it's because we need the roads down here more than Reno does? In fact, Northern Nevada got the shaft in the transportation measure, with a key project not receiving a cent. No wonder they are angry up north.
